Sunrise
Unity presents:
A weekly Music Meditation Service in the spirit
of Taizé at 10 AM on Sundays.
Taizé is an ecumenical international community
in southern France dedicated to peace, trust and reconciliation.
Much of our daily experience takes place within a rigid
framework of what we might call “clock time.”
We speak of “taking time for this” or “making
time for that,” rather than thinking about “giving
time” to things we enjoy or people we care about.
One of the truly marvelous gifts of Taizé style
prayer, music and meditation, is that it encourages us
to ascend out of clock time and into a space, where sound
is savored and silence is cultivated.
Taizé prayer provides an experience that draws
us outside our daily routine and also allows us to enter
into our usual activities with a greater thoughtfulness
and care. It may be described as the experience of finding,
dwelling in and living from, our spiritual center.
This service may lead us gently into our own center,
into a sacred space where our worth is affirmed, where
we are connected with others and with the silent Mystery.

Sunrise Unity is dedicated to being
a center where all people are welcome and where differences
are celebrated as the splendor of God’s creative
expression. We offer a guilt-free spiritual community
celebrating our human experience.
Our perspective is that each of us co-creates our own
experiences by our thoughts and words in response to our
feelings. However, it is not easy to grasp the full implications
of this; so providing a community of others willing to
share and work with these life-altering concepts makes
our awakening process flow more smoothly.
As part of the inner-personal growth that naturally flows
from these realizations we are committed to creating a
place in consciousness, as well as in our world, that
is free of prejudice, discrimination and inequality of
any kind.
Thank you for visiting. Please come again - you are
always welcome! -Rev. Carla
